Nascido no dia no dia 26 de maio de 1978 e um artista multi-talentoso, Jaheim é mais famoso por seus vocais R & B. O rapper e cantor Jaheim Hoagland vem de New Brunswick, Nova Jersey, onde ele cresceu no nº 176 Memorial Parkway Homes, em um projeto de habitação pública. Um Infortúnio bateu precocemente em sua vida: seu pai morreu em 1981, quando ele tinha apenas dois anos de idade. Vindo de uma família musical ajudou a superar a tragédia e as muitas armadilhas de seu ambiente. Seu avô, Victor Hoagland, cantou com muitos grupos de nome da época, incluindo The Drifters,as reuniões da sua família eram grandes festas musicais. Cantando em reuniões familiares, talentos locais e também no Teatro Apollo em um concurso de novos talentos. O cantor de voz suave, que soava como um híbrido de Teddy Pendergrass e Luther Vandross, venceu a competição três vezes quando tinha 15.
Dois anos depois, ele experimentou mais tragédia quando sua mãe morreu, mas manteve a fé e se tornou uma sensação em Nova Jersey, em shows de talentos. Quatro anos após a morte de sua mãe, ele gravou uma fita que levou a um acordo com a Divine Mill Records (uma divisão da Warner Bros.).Jaheim recebeu boas críticas a partir de dois singles - "Could It Be" e "Lil 'Nigga Ain't Mine" - na mostra de vídeo da BET. Gravou seu primeiro album em 2001 "Ghetto love". Seu segundo álbum, "Still Ghetto", foi liberado no fim de 2002. Alcançou o Top 40 com os singles "Fabulous" e "Anything". " Ghetto Classics", seu terceiro cd foi lançado no início de 2006 (Dia dos Namorados, para ser exato) e tornou-se seu primeiro álbum a alcançar o primeiro lugar nas paradas. O cd 'the Makings of a Man' foi lançado em dezembro de 2007 e é seu último e brilhante trabalho.
