The Game

Jayceon Terrell Taylor IV (Los Angeles, 29 de Novembro de 1979), mais conhecido pelo seu nome artístico Game, anteriormente The Game, é um rapper estadunidense. Game chegou a fama em 2005, com o sucesso de seu álbum The Documentary tendo ganho dois Grammy. Desde então, Game é considerado ser uma grande força do hip hop da "Costa Oeste".

Biografia

Game nasceu em Los Angeles, Califórnia, mas se mudou para Compton ainda criança. A alcunha "The Game" foi dada pela sua avó, por praticar vários esportes. Game foi vítima de confrontos entre gangues rivais sofrendo tiros, ele ficou em coma e sobreviveu. 50 Cent se caracterizou com as histórias semelhantes e deu uma chance á Game quando ele foi para Nova York. Outra versão diz-nos que Game foi descoberto por Dr. Dre, acabando por se associar ao grupo de 50 Cent em virtude de objetivos mediáticos e econômicos. Game foi contratado pela Aftermath em 2005.

O seu bem sucedido álbum The Documentary, gravado em 2005, que trazia "Hate It or Love It" e "How We Do" com 50 Cent, no álbum incluem-se ainda singles como "Dreams", "Higher" e "Put You on the Game". O álbum é o segundo mais vendido da Aftermath, vendendo cerca de 8 milhões de discos em todo o mundo. O rapper apresenta-se com um "flow", fluência do ritmo e poesia, característico da West Coast, associado a uma capacidade de invulgar para "name drop", além disto Game apresenta-se capaz de reproduzir o "flow" de vários artistas.

Tem uma richa com 50 Cent, os dois artistas criaram problemas de relacionamento quando Game recusou-se a apoiar 50 Cent em seus vários problemas com vários grupos de hip hop. Game mostrava-se inclusivamente disponível para trabalhar com artistas em "guerra" como 50 Cent. Assim, Game separou-se do grupo de 50 Cent, formando o seu próprio grupo e editora, chamado de, The Black Wall Street Records. Grandes divergências separaram os dois artistas e respectivos grupos, e Game acaba por formar um movimento contra o seu rival G-Unit.Chamado G-Unot , é uma gangue contra G-Unit Atualmente Game está entre os mais populares rappers e artistas dos Estados Unidos.
